Receptionist/Administrator Medical Practice – Part Time Permanent available

From our professional administrative staff through to our Allied Health Professionals, the patient, and their experience, is our number one priority.
With rapid expansion to the practice and growing services we are seeking a highly proficient Medical Receptionist/Administrator to join our team. You will be professional, engaging, with a keen eye for detail and an ability to multi-task.
This permanent position is dynamic, you will share reception and administrative duties with our amazing team and together you will be the first point of contact for our patients providing a warm and engaged reception.
The role includes but is not limited to:
- Answer telephones and to make appointments for patients as required.
- Using Genie practice management system to book appointments and manage patients
- Process payments, Medicare and DVA claims.
- Ensure that incoming faxes , emails and messages are actioned in a timely manner
- Scanning, filing and general clerical duties.
- Managing Cash Float.
- Tidying and maintenance of doctors rooms, kitchen and public areas.
- Engaging in behaviours that promote the health, welfare and safety of all employees and patients.
Essential requirements:
- Prepared to be vaccinated for Covid-19 if not already
You will be able to demonstrate:
- A professional yet friendly demeanour
- Having undertaken demanding Receptionist/Customer Service roles previously
- Ability to multi-task and stay focused under pressure
- Attention to detail is critical
- Excellent computer skills with experience using the key Microsoft products (Word/Excel)
- Exceptional time management skills with the ability to think on your feet
- The ability to adjust and manage problems as they occur
Desirable Skills:
- Competence in the use of Genie
- Training or experience in Medicare item numbers and health funds
