Our busy general practice is looking for an experienced Medical Receptionist to provide Customer Service to our patients and administrative support to our team of GP's.
To succeed in this position, you will need to be reliable, well presented and able to work independently or as part of a TEAM. It is crucial to have excellent Administrative, Customer Service and Time Management skills.
Your duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Welcoming patients and visitors in person, over the telephone and via email.
- Taking requests from patients, answering questions and referring enquiries on to our Doctors or Nursing Team.
- Helping patients schedule appointments and accepting and processing payments.
- Maintaining up to date patient records by updating personal and relevant medical and contact information
- Liaising between patients and doctors
- Scanning of daily medical reports and correspondence
If you are able to demonstrate the skills below then this position could be the start of an exciting new career for you:
- Computer Skills and previous experience using Best Practice or other Medical software is preferred
- Excellent telephone and interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively in English
- Resilient and hard working with well-developed time management and organisational skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
