AddressWe have an exciting opportunity for an Medical Receptionist to join our team. We are an extremely busy privately owned GP practice located in Mount Pleasant
The Position is a Part-Time Position, shifts consist of weekdays, weekends and evenings. You must be able to cover sick leave and annual leave.
About the role
Our Receptionists provide a high standard of customer service and administration to patients and Doctors. Supporting the successful running of the centre the role includes:
- Greeting patients.
- Handling a variety of patients phone call enquiries.
- Handling a busy switch board.
- Booking appointments and entering patient data.
- Generating invoices and receiving payments.
- Processing Medicare Claims.
- Handling of incoming mail and preparation of mail to send.
- Maintaining doctors bookings
- Taking all doctors requests in a timely manner.
- Other adhoc administration as required
Criteria
- Previous medical reception experience is desirable. .
- Experience with Best Practice and Tyro is an advantage but not essential.
- An understanding of Medicare Item Numbers is desirable
- The candidate must be reliable, punctual and possess a good work ethic, with the ability to multi task and work independently.
- Excellent communication skills along with a courteous phone manner.
- The ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
