Medical Receptionist/Secretary

A fantastic opportunity exists for a highly motivated Medical Receptionist to join the growing practice of a General and Bariatric Surgeon 

The successful applicant will be organised, professional and welcoming with a good sense of humour. 

This position is a hands-on role.  You will be responsible for, but not limited to:-

• Developing strong patient relationships – from initial enquiry to post-operative follow up.
• Working well with other team members
• Practice communication – phone, reception, correspondence, and patient information.
• Operating list administration – quoting, scheduling, wait listing & liaising with Hospital staff and other personnel.
• Medicare/Eftpos billing

You will have the following skills and experience:-

• Experience with ‘Genie’ practice management software-preferable
• Knowledge of Medicare/HICAPS
• Intermediate MS Office skills – Word, Outlook, Excel
• Ability to cope with pressure and multi task
• Attention to detail

This position is initially offered for 2-3 days a week with the opportunity of full time and career progression. Competitive remuneration will be offered to the successful applicant, commensurate with experience.
