Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Membership and Partnership Manager to join our team on a temporary, 12 month contract. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a strong sales acumen and a proven track record of cultivating relationships and driving revenue growth through membership sales and corporate partnerships within the retail industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive membership growth by identifying and prospecting potential retail businesses, effectively communicating the value proposition of association membership, and closing new membership agreements.
- Maintain meticulous records of membership in accordance with regulatory obligations.
- Develop and implement strategies to expand corporate partnerships, including negotiating terms, managing relationships, and ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop compelling Membership and Partnership packages that meet the needs of both members and partners.
- Provide exceptional customer service to existing members and partners, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and engagement.
- Track and analyze sales and Partnership metrics, providing regular reports to management and leveraging insights to inform future strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless and consistent customer experience across all touchpoints.
- Maintain regular contact with members throughout the membership term via a schedule of online and face-to-face meetings, tracking any unused entitlements and highlighting upcoming opportunities.
- Represent the National Retail Association at industry events, conferences, and networking functions to promote membership benefits and foster new partnerships.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales, business development, or partnerships, preferably within an industry association.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated and results-driven, with a passion for driving success and making a positive impact within the retail community.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics will come highly regarded.
