Work with an Australian owned and locally managed International business. You will assist with Office administration and membership liaison.
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
- To develop and manage relationships with existing, new and potential Golden Chain member properties.
- To facilitate effective communication with Golden Chain member properties ensuring a high level of appreciation of their needs and those members have a strong understanding of the value of their membership.
- To facilitate effective communication of member needs with Golden Chain field staff and Head Office.
- To aid in the maintenance of membership retention.
- To seek out and establish new property relationships and grow membership with new members.
- To actively communicate and “sell” membership benefits to prospective, current and new members.
- To administer Gold Link (consumer) membership
- To provide support and assistance to Golden Chain field staff and the General Manager as required
General Description
The role of Membership Services Coordinator is pivotal to the ongoing success of Golden Chain supplying a relationship with consumers, members and potential members. The role requires a high level of multi-tasking, coordination and organisation to facilitate the core objectives of the role including:
- Maintaining positive relationships with member properties
- Ensuring member properties are accessing member benefits as well as representing their property appropriately in line with the articles of association and the membership agreement
- Facilitating the growth and retention of membership of Golden Chain
- Administration of Gold Link members & general administration of the Golden Chain head office.
SCOPE OF POSITION
- This role is the centrepiece of support and services to the membership base of Golden Chain for both property operators and consumers.
- The role is office based with a large component of the role based in activities for activating, on-boarding and maintaining membership remotely.
- Currently there are over 200 members properties that need to be maintained including 20 - 40 transferring or new properties requiring specific attention for effective servicing. The role has responsibility for the administration of the entire membership.
- Retention of current membership is seen as a core priority of this role, however the recruitment, induction, training and onboarding of new members is included.
- On boarding of new members including set-up, training, signage, systems, IT etc.
- Working with the National sales manager, the role would ensure that compliance to GC standards is met in all areas, including quality, service, and facilities & branding. Especially in the area of existing member properties being bought by new owners and needing to reassess as up to the standards required.
- To create and que social media content
- To create and send a Newsletter (mailchimp)
- Gift Certificate requests . recording details , taking payment ,printing and posting out
- Other duties as required by General Manager.
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA REQUIRED
- Membership coordination / management at a national level
- Experience in service / support role
- Capacity to communicate effectively with multiple demographic profiles
- Demonstrated knowledge of and expertise in accommodation industry, specifically regional mid level.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Apple and Microsoft Office applications such as word, excel, Xero, PP and CRM systems. (The office runs both environments).
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Superior reporting and report writing skills
- Ability to analyse and act on complaints independently
- Ability to manage, create and maintain both internal and external relationships
- Competence in website CMS and working with social media tools
- Demonstrate exceptional people skills and presentation skills
- Ability to build strong working relationships
- Mature, proactive and flexible approach to workplace
- DESIRABLE KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
- Demonstrate experience in servicing members in a similar organisation
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Post-secondary qualifications in membership management, hospitality, administration or other relevant field
- Professional experience in Membership Based Organisation
- Knowledge or experience in accommodation/hospitality/tourism organisations
