At genU GAMER, we understand that games and gaming with others is vital to a person's sense of self and wellbeing. Not only are we gamers, but we use all gaming and popular culture as the universal language to provide quality, engaging, and meaningful supports.
GAMER is seeking to add uniquely talented individuals like you to our team that will combine outstanding Game Mastering skills, with a strong understanding of Mental Health or youth work, to help us deliver our Applied Gaming programs.
GAMER provides participants a structured, fun, and engaging platform to discover, explore, and build beneficial interpersonal and coping skills that assists them achieve their life goals.
As a Dragon Wrangler (Mental Health & Interpersonal Skills Facilitator), you will apply your skills and knowledge to present imagined worlds in a way that assists in creating better realities for your clients.
At GAMER you will not just be taught how to apply your passion for gaming in ways that benefit others. As part of the team, you will receive all the support, mentoring, and challenges you need to achieve best outcomes and further your ambitions. About You!
To be considered you will need:
- Youth and Mental Health training
- Experience as a Games Master in table-top role-playing games
- Ability to work with youth and adults
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- First Aid & CPR
- Working with Children's Check
- Experience with ASD, ADHD and/or Youth Mental Health
- Experience at creating RPG campaigns and adventures
- Experience with Dungeons & Dragons 5e or other Tabletop Roleplaying Game
- Experience with virtual table-top software.
