Your Role:
As a Mental Health Nurse, you will be an essential part of a leading healthcare provider known for its commitment to excellence. Your role involves providing compassionate and evidence-based care to individuals experiencing Mental Health challenges. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to contribute to the overall mental well-being of patients.
About You:
- Minimum of 3 years in Australia as an RN.
- Specialisation in Mental Health Nursing.
- Proven experience in Mental Health nursing, demonstrating a solid understanding of best practices.
- Current and ongoing registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
- Proficient in general nursing practices, emergency care, and Mental Health support.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Knowledge of relevant healthcare regulations and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough Mental Health assessments and formulate individualised care plans.
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to individuals with a range of Mental Health conditions.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Provide therapeutic interventions and support to promote recovery and resilience.
- Administer medications and monitor their effects, collaborating with the prescribing team.
- Document patient progress accurately and maintain confidential medical records.
- Participate in the development and implementation of Mental Health programs and initiatives.
- Contribute to a supportive and therapeutic environment for patients and their families.
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in Mental Health nursing practices.
