Job description:
- Fabricate and weld various components for agricultural machines.
- Follow engineering drawings and specifications precisely to ensure the accurate assembly of parts.
- Operate a range of welding equipment to join metal parts and structures effectively.
- Interpret complex engineering drawings and blueprints to determine the layout and assembly of fabricated parts.
- Ensure that fabricated components meet dimensional tolerances and quality standards outlined in the drawings.
- Conduct welding repairs and modifications as needed to rectify defects or make enhancements to fabricated components.
- Conduct thorough quality inspections of fabricated parts to identify defects, imperfections, or irregularities.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and procedures for materials and equipment to mitigate workplace hazards and minimise the risk of injuries.
- Collaborate closely with the engineering team to communicate any fabrication challenges, technical issues, or design improvements.
- Provide valuable input and feedback to support the continuous improvement of fabrication processes and product quality.
Qualifications/Attributes:
- Must hold a minimum CIII in Engineering - Fabrication Trade or at least 3 years of relevant work experience in lieu of the qualification.
- Must possess at least a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Proven experience in metal fabrication and welding.
- Proficiency in operating welding equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.
Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 p.a. excluding superannuation.
