About the Role

The Site Manager for Metal Tanks is responsible for all on site requirements for a metal tank installation. They ensure the team arrives safely and works safety to build Metal Tanks up to the Aline Standard. They will also be accountable for any rectification works on tanks installed.

Your role will involve, but is not limited to:

  • Site Assessment: Conduct site assessments to determine any factors that may arise during tank assembly such as accessibility, ground stability, and proximity to water sources.
  • Installation Planning: Read and interpret drawings and plans that outline the process, required materials, and safety measures.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that the water tank and all associated components meet quality standards and are free from defects before installation.
  • Safety Procedures: Work collaboratively with WHSE to ensure safe practices and installation preparedness.
  • Materials and Equipment Management: Procure and manage the materials, tools, and equipment required for the installation, ensuring they are in good working order.
  • Tank Installation: Physically install the water tank, following manufacturer and engineering specifications and industry best practices.
  • Testing and Inspection: Perform tests and inspections to verify the proper functioning of the water tank, its components, and the associated systems.
  • Customer Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with the customer, addressing any questions or concerns about the installation.
  • · Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of the installation, including plans, permits, and inspection reports.
  • Customer Training: Provide customers with instructions on the use, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the water tank system.
  • Clean-Up: Ensure that the installation site is left clean and free of debris after the installation is complete.
  • Problem-Solving: Address any unexpected issues or challenges that may arise during the installation process.
  • Team Collaboration: Coordinate and collaborate with other team members, such as plumbers, electricians, and site contractors, as needed.
  • Post-Installation Support: Provide post-installation support, such as addressing warranty issues, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Time Management: Complete installations within the agreed-upon timeframe, taking into account any potential delays.
  • Logistics: Assist and arrange logistics for transport of the tank components to the installation location
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and installation best practices to enhance skills and knowledge.

About You

  • A trade qualification in a construction discipline, sheet metalwork or related field highly regarded.
  • Proven experience in related roles, with at least 5 years of experience.
  • Strong knowledge of project management processes, quality control, and construction site protocols.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven track record of achieving project deadlines, optimising resources, and improving installation efficiency.
  • Motor vehicle licence
  • Fork lift licence
