Located in Pakenham Victoria, our fully equipped workshop manufactures custom parts and projects in-house for nationwide distribution and installation.
Due to continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity for Metal Fabricator / Light Gauge Welders with Sheet Metal experience to join our manufacturing team in either a short term or a full-time capacity.
What's involved?
The job involves working with Light Gauge, mild steel, stainless and aluminum light to medium fabrication.
Skills required for the position:
- Interpret and work from drawings and follow verbal instructions.
- Align parts to be joined using hand tools and measuring instruments.
- Join metal sections using various welding techniques.
- Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions.
- Cut, drill and weld of raw metals.
- Join metal sections using various welding techniques.
- Polishing welds by filing, chiselling and grinding, ensuring seamless appearance.
- Fitting and assembling components into final products by welding, riveting, soldering, brazing, and otherwise joining.
- Use of various machinery including but not limited to metal guillotine, brake press, pan brake folder, pedestal drill, industrial rolling machine.
- Verify dimensions and product specifications.
- Deliver work in line with production schedules.
- Ensure safety is a priority on the job during all activities, including using tools.

- Ability to learn quickly by following instructions.

A weld test will be required as part of the interview process as a chance to demonstrate your skills and abilities.

Working hours are Monday to Friday 7.30am to 4.00pm + overtime available (if desired).
