We are currently looking for a Microbiologist with a minimum of 2 years experience, to join the QA team at Nature’s Care.
This is a permanent full-time position from Monday to Friday, based in Belrose. You will be responsible for both microbiology testing, as well as providing support on a range of quality control duties.
To be successful in the role, you will be someone that loves learning, and is able to work through tasks with a methodical and systematic approach.
Role and Responsibilities include:
- Performing and ensuring all microbiology samples of raw materials, in-process and finished products are tested within a timely manner
- Environmental monitoring of plant and buildings in accordance with GMP guidelines
- Identifying and confirming results
- Reporting and analyzing results
- Media preparation
- Method validation for the microbiological analysis of products
- Calibration for all micro lab instruments
- Conduct OOS/CAPA investigation
- Purchase and maintain laboratory chemical and medium
- Cleaning of micro lab equipment / glassware
- Perform any other duties within the QA-QC department as requested from time to time
Skills and experience
- A Bachelor degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, Science or related discipline
- 2+ years experience as a Microbiologist is essential
- Have strong organizational skills
- Ability to work well autonomously while following the correct policies and procedures
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to demonstrate exceptional attention to detail
- Have experience working with Quality System
- Competence in the use of computers and MS Office software
- Demonstrate problem solving skills
- Be a team player who enjoys working within a group environment
- Have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure
- Be willing to work a reasonable amount of overtime when required
