This position has responsibility for the microbiology program at McCormick Clayton, including the day-to-day operation of the internal laboratory, coordinating with external providers, and analysis and reporting of microbiology data to McCormick and multiple customer standards.

About the role
Reporting to the Senior Manager Quality Assurance, you will be a key member of the Quality team providing technical support to Operation and Product Development departments. The successful candidate will be able to perform the following tasks (but not limited to):

-Conduct accurate and timely microbiological testing, analysis, & reporting of materials, ingredients, finished
goods for the effective, efficient performance of the Clayton micro lab
-Provide technical support to Operation and NPD teams
-Review and update laboratory programs and procedures against relevant McCormick, customer, and industry standards
-Track lab expenditure, reporting on cost variances and identify improvement opportunities for the continuous improvement of lab performance
About You

-BSc. University degree in Microbiology or related discipline
-Minimum Experience: 2-3 years in food microbiology
-Sound knowledge of microbiological testing methodologies and environmental monitoring programs
-Thorough understanding of laboratory best practices and quality systems/programs are necessary
-Use SAP for the Hold or Release of finished products
-Shown ability to communicate with management, colleagues, and all stake holders equally
-Be punctual, honest and be willing to grow in the role along with us
