AddressThis company is based in the Western Suburbs of Sydney and is a well-known manufacturer/supplier of specialist additives and chemicals used in a range of products from personal care through to disinfectant products, flame retardants and biocides.
The role is a part-time, permanent position to begin with and would transition to full-time once the successful candidate completes their tertiary qualifications.
Duties:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Sample receipt and preparation
- Microbiological testing
- Set up and maintenance of media cultures
- Environmental monitoring and documentation
- Monitoring/calibration of equipment (e.g. autoclaves, pH meters, fridge etc.)
- Driving continuous improvement
- General lab upkeep, such as consumable stock takes and clean up
Skills & Experience:
- Currently undertaking tertiary qualifications in Microbiology or a related discipline is essential
- Experience in microbiology techniques from university is essential
- Knowledge of ISO/NATA and other relevant regulatory bodies, desirable
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
