Overview: Amidst an exciting expansion phase, we're seeking a dynamic Mid-Weight designer to join our energetic Huntley creative team at our Marrickville (SYD) hub. This is an exceptional opportunity where the right candidate will get to work and create for some large blue-chip companies.
This role offers great variety in the creative and design space, where you'll be working across both digital/animated and traditional graphic design in the CE, FMCG and Alcohol categories.
We encourage a connected work style where all employees are expected to talk and deal directly with our clients, whether it is being involved in receiving the initial brief or as a design is being developed, so a calm and efficient telephone & email manner, along with an organised and methodical work process, is essential. This position often involves working under tight deadlines with high expectations on creative output so the ability to maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with clients & the team at all times is crucial. Fluency in English is required, as it will be your primary language of communication.
The ideal candidate would have a minimum 2 years of industry experience, working with brands and products that market in a retail environment, and have an understanding of how advertising and marketing collateral functions in the FMCG and CE retailer environments.
Huntley is part of the BOO Group of companies, which includes an in-house digital printing warehouse, so the ability to output FA, and an understanding of setting up print-ready files will be highly regarded.
Undoubtedly you will have a high level of skills in the Adobe suite and cloud software, but a strong knowledge of Adobe After Effects is essential as the role will include the creation of digital animated play reels.
Role Requirements - Essential Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
- Have a strong understanding of Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Adobe PDF pro) as well as Google suite preferred over microsoft
- An avid interest in the world of retail marketing, relationships & people management– curiosity is your compass.
- Up to date across social media and marketing trends, with a passion to seek out new opportunities.
- A well-rounded set of communication and listening abilities, vital for forging successful connections.
- Equally comfortable working autonomously or as part of a dynamic team
- Able to follow and interpret brand guidelines for multi-output design requirements.
- Strong attention to detail.
- A proven track record of juggling multiple tasks with enthusiasm and a positive outlook – no task is too big!
- Ability to prioritise workload effectively.
