The Role:
The Process Operator attends to and operates the process machines in the production area as assigned to them by the Shift Manager during a 12-hour rotating day shift/night shift roster. Specific areas include IS Machine, Inspection Machines and Verifying.
Key Responsibilities:
Hot End:
- Ensure machine is mopped to the job requirements as set by forming department
- Ensure the wight is checked and maintained (every 15 minutes) as set by forming department
- Assist on job changes
- Troubleshoot on machines and correct all non-conformances
- Monitor the PIS system
- Call upon help from Electricians/Fitters as needed
- Report line issues to the Line Leaders as required
- Ensure mould gear is changed as required and recorded
- Attend and clear jam ups of glass
Cold End:
- Monitoring & inspecting bottles
- Performing counts and monitoring the PIS system
- Provide feedback/respond to information from forming
- Run reject samples through inspection equipment and make minor adjustments as required
- Assist with job change at the cold end
- Recognise and report line handling issues
- Performing tests for annealing and coating thickness
- Back tracking defects to identify cause
- Recording of information on appropriate forms
What the Role Offers:
- 2 days on - 2 days off - 2 nights on - 2 days off rotating roster of 12 hours shifts
- Attractive commencement rate of $40.85 per hour
- On site training provided to complete 3-year program and receive a Cert III in Process Manufacturing
About You:
- Must be willing to complete Cert III training program
- Have previous experience within a manufacturing role
- Have previous experience working within a hot and noisy environment
- Display a "Safety First" mentality and be committed to safe work practices
- Demonstrate strong communication skills and be able to work as part of a team
