Karora Resources is a gold and nickel producer in WA. Headquartered in Toronto, Canada, we currently operate the Beta Hunt underground mine in Kambalda and the Higginsville Gold Operations, which includes a 1.6 Mtpa mill and processing plant, near Norseman in the Goldfields region of Western Australia and the recently acquired 1.0Mtpa Lakewood Mill in Kalgoorlie.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Carry out survey control for Mining activities maintained in line with the weekly schedule requirements
- Maintain site service infrastructure and manage interaction with mine voids
- Execute tasks as directed by the Senior Mine Surveyor including – Install development lasers and conduct pickups, longhole stope set outs, diamond drill set outs and pickups, development mining instructions, ventilation system pickups, CMS pickups and ROM pickups
- Maintain Statutory plans in accordance with the Mines Act, Regulations and Surveying Code of Practice
- Liaise with technical services team such as Geology, Engineering and Underground Operations
ABOUT YOU
- Current “C” Class Western Australian driver’s licence
- Diploma in Mine Surveying (minimum or equivalent)
- Grade 1 Authorisation or ability to obtain (desirable)
- Minimum 1 years’ experience in a Surveying role within the resources industry
- Strong computer skills with competency in Deswik
- Experience with drones and Pix4D software, desirable
- Solid communication skills, with the ability to build strong, collaborative, relationships with your team and other departments
- A can-do, team-oriented attitude
- Desire to maintain a proactive safe working environment
- Solid problem-solving skills, with the ability to think on your feet and be adaptable
