What are we looking for?
We are looking for a highly motivated and influential Mining Supervisor to join our safety and result-driven team. The position is permanent full time, working a lifestyle roster. We offer an attractive remuneration package including performance-based bonuses. Relocation assistance may be available for eligible candidates.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Supervising and instructing personnel within the immediate team to meet planned outcomes and to hold members of the team accountable to expected standards of behaviour and performance.
- Monitor tasks being carried out by immediate team as well as contracting support, to ensure they are undertaken in a safe manner and comply with applicable policies, plans and procedures, standards.
- Leading by example by providing visible and credible direction to achieve a safe and achievement-oriented approach to work.
- Identifying and communicating risks associated with health and safety as well as environmental impacts.
- Overseeing people management issues in area of responsibility including input to training and development of team members.
- Promoting and maintaining a high level of positive safety performance & workplace culture through teamwork, personal commitment, and application of the Mangoola Coal values.
- Promoting positive relationships with our stakeholders & community; and
- Taking all reasonable steps to minimise impact on the environment.
About you:
- You will hold a NSW Open Cut Examiners Practising Certificate.
- You have experience in people leadership of personnel in frontline roles. You will hold a NSW Open Cut Examiners Practising Certificate.
- You can demonstrate sound literacy in Excel, Word and other associated Microsoft packages.
- You have a high regard for your personal safety and the safety of your teammates.
- You have the ability to work in high pressure situations with competing workplace priorities.
- You have the ability to follow a plan and the resilience to adapt to a constantly changing environment.
- You demonstrate a positive attitude, reliability, and commitment to working proactively.
- You are a team player with a high level of safety awareness, an attitude for outstanding performance, and a willingness to contribute to a winning team.
