Southern Launch, based in Adelaide, South Australia, offers infrastructure and operational support for orbital and suborbital rocket launches. We have two multi-user launch sites: The Whalers Way Orbital Launch Complex and the Koonibba Test Range.
About the role
As a Mission Systems Technician at Southern Launch, you'll manage our Mission Systems equipment and coordinate the seamless operations and deployment of those systems. Responsibilities include:
- Upkeep, maintenance, and deployment of Mission Systems hardware.
- Conduct regular hardware inspections, diagnose issues, test deployable configurations, and implement solutions to ensure optimal performance.
- Administer mission-critical networks to ensure reliability, security, and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot network issues and implement solutions to maintain connectivity.
- Administer and maintain operating systems relevant to Mission Systems.
- Maintain familiarity with deployable systems, ensuring they are ready for deployment.
- Address and resolve technical issues promptly to minimise downtime.
About you

- Qualifications in ICT, Computer Science, or related field.
- Proven expertise in ICT hardware management, network, and operating system administration.
- Hands-on experience with deployable systems, adept at adapting to dynamic environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and troubleshooting abilities.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Proactive and hands-on approach for ensuring operational success.
This position requires you to hold and maintain a valid Australian Defence Security Clearance.
