AddressDuties including but not limited to:
Assisting with planting, spraying, spreading, harvesting
General plant and machinery maintenance
Livestock (sheep) work including assisting with management of feed, water, shearing, crutching, mulesing, etc
Truck operation and transportation, collection of fertiliser, lime etc
All other general farm duties such as fencing, water maintenance, cleaning machinery, etc
Required skills:
5 plus years of experience in the operation and maintenance of large agricultural machinery and livestock management
Ability to setup, operate and maintain large scale modern machinery running John Deere GPS
Ability to take care with operation of farming equipment
MC license or willingness to obtain
Team player with a positive attitude and the ability to get along well with others
Good communication skills essential to deal with staff and management
Flexible and adaptable to changing situations
Ability to work independently, unsupervised and use initiative
Ability to work in a fast-pace environment particularly during busy times such as seeding and harvest seasons
The salary will be commensurate with skills and experience at $70 000 plus other benefits, like accommodation, etc.
