Conduct
Drug & Alcohol screening for personnel on a prestigious mining site in Mount Isa.
- Full Time | $30.98 per hour

About the RoleThis position is primarily responsible for conducting
Drug & Alcohol screening of personnel entering the site. Our client site is a prestigious mining site located in Mount Isa. The successful candidate will either already be a trained and licenced security officer or be prepared to participate and complete funded accredited industry training post-employment.This is a Monday to Friday position consisting of 40 hours per week. You will be required to be flexible to work split shifts and weekends if coverage is required.
Duties include but are not limited to:- Collect, label and process drug and alcohol specimens
- Conduct random and “show cause” confirmatory drug and Alcohol Testing
- Conduct Alcohol testing through a prescribed breathalyser unit
- Conduct Drug screening through the taking of urine specimens
- Follow and be compliant with protocols in relation to samples taken
- Report on testing and results
- Manage stock levels and order products and consumables associated with testing and results
- Observe specimen storage, handling and dispatch processes and required timeframes
Skills & Experience- HLTPAT005 Collect specimens for drug of abuse testing certification – (funded training will be considered for successful candidate if certification not held)
- QLD Security Licence – with Unarmed Security Officer (desirable or willingness to obtain)
- Certificate II in Security Operations (desirable or willingness to obtain)
- Current First Aid and CPR Certification
- Qld Drivers Licence
- Physically fit and able to work a rotational roster consisting of day, nights and weekends
- Have an intermediate level of proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications
- Strong communication, customer relations skills and use of radio
