About the Position:
Key Responsibilities:
- 75% as Tour Guide, 25% reservation coordination.
- Part as a guide (75%) :
- Prepare and Conduct guided tours in: Spanish and or French and or German (Spanish preferred, but open to other spoken languages, based on motivation)
- Providing insightful and engaging narratives on the history and attractions in Sydney and its surroundings.
- Develop and implement innovative tour activities tailored to Spanish-German-French speaking visitors.
- Act as a cultural ambassador, facilitating a deeper understanding and appreciation of Australian culture among visitors.
- Reservation coordination (25%):
- Maintain the logistics of the company vehicle.
- Reservation coordinator role where you oversee tour operations and organization. This involves coordinating schedules, managing resources, and ensuring smooth tour operations (Book sub-contracted services for example sights, transport, and meals, reconfirm all booked services to suppliers, all booking to guides, Respond to information requests both in writing and by phone.
Requirements:
- Autonomous, enthusiastic, dynamic, patient, communicative, sensitive to the needs of a group, punctual, organised, willing to learn and improve.
- Possess a valid NSW Driving License, at least 6 months old, to drive clients with the company vehicle.
- Proficiency in French and/or Spanish and/or German
- Situational intelligence, excellent customer relations and the ability to analyse and adapt to diverse audiences.
- Computer and informatic skills and technological literacy (Office pack: Word, Excel & Microsoft Outlook, Reservation System: Podio).
- First Aid Certificate (opportunity to obtain certification)
- General knowledge or willingness to learn about Australian history, geography, culture, flora, and fauna.
Contract :
This position is open to any motivated candidate who recognises their qualities, skills, and abilities as described. Additionally, there is the possibility of setting up sponsorship for a visa, for the right candidate. Guiding experience is preferable but not essential.
