About the roleWe are looking for experienced and compassionate Multi-Skilled Support Workers to join our fantastic team, in a part-time capacity for both permanent and parental leave coverage.
As a Multi-Skilled Support Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering high quality, person-centred support services to residents in the village and community setting. Embracing the wellness approach, this position focuses on enhancing residents’ capacity to improve their physical, social and emotional functioning, enabling them to live independently in their own home 24 hours per day – 7 days a week.
The successful candidate will enjoy the advantage of receiving consistent rostered hours with no travel time, providing stability and predictability in their work schedule.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Deliver a high standard of care and support to Ocean Gardens residents.
- Support services including (but not limited to) assistance to shower/dress and attend to personal hygiene, medication support, social support, transport and shopping, cleaning and domestic tasks, laundry, escort to appointments, and meal preparation.
- Provide housekeeping support in both residential and communal areas.
- Respond to changes in the condition and health status of residents and escalate clinical issues in a timely manner.
- Ensures that clinical incidents are documented and are communicated to the Wellness Manager.
- Document the progress of residents with awareness of the residents’ goals; aligned to the Aged Care Standards.
- Respond to emergency calls by attending to the residents’ home in a timely manner following an alert.
- Administration of first aid to residents as required, with appropriate communication to the Wellness Manager and residents’ family.
- Reports hazards and incidents in a timely manner and actively contributes to workplace safety and wellbeing for staff and customers.
- Responds to fire, safety, security, maintenance, and emergency issues that arise during the shift.

About youTo join us, you will need:
- Certificate 3 Aged Care/Individual Support or equivalent.
- Current First Aid Certificate.
- Two years’ experience as a Support Worker – either residential or community settings
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills and knowledge of customer service.
- Well-developed time management skills with ability to prioritise tasks to ensure work is completed in a timely manner.
- National Police Clearance not older than three months old.
- Current drivers’ licence is essential.
