Job Description
We're hiring a Multimedia Producer for 60 Minutes based in our North Sydney Office. In this role you'll create digital content for 9Now, social media, YouTube, and the 60 Minutes website. Plus, you'll lead a new digital project for the show.
You'll boost digital audience and engagement, ensuring top-quality content delivery worldwide. This role sits in our News & Sport Social team, collaborating across departments. We need an experienced digital journalist skilled in writing, video, and social media. You'll craft compelling copy and produce video and graphics with our team. Experience managing YouTube channels and social media is a must, along with a passion for news and current affairs.
Day to day includes, but won't be limited to:
- Working with journalists, producers and editors to create bespoke digital content
- Production and editing of video content for digital platforms and social media accounts
- Customising existing content for vertical video platforms
- Writing articles for the 60 Minutes website
- Managing 60 Minutes’ digital presence across on and off network platforms, including moderation
- Meeting and exceeding audience and revenue targets
- Driving new content projects from inception to completion
- Weekend and after hours work
What we would like to see on your resume:
- Journalism degree or equivalent
- Experience in news or current affairs
- Strong writing skills, familiar with defamation law and social media moderation
- Proficiency in digital video platforms (YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, etc.)
- Adobe Photoshop & Premiere Pro experience
- Thrives in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
