One of Australia's leading Federal Government departments are looking to engage multiple Data Engineers to join a multidisciplinary team & support projects by developing ETL processes for real time data transfer, data migrations, and development of data integration models/patterns. The role can be based from any of their offices in Canberra, Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne with flexible working arrangements. The successful Data Engineers will be offered a 12 month contract with a further one year extension option.
The successful Data Engineers will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- undertake data engineering work to support ETL of data from various source to target processes
- document ETL design and patterns to support team understanding of data transfers
- work with modern Azure technologies for ETL and legacy SSIS and SSRS products/processes
- work as part of an application delivery team, alongside solution architects, business analysts, developers, and testers to deliver on project-based objectives to drive delivery of outcomes
The successful Data Engineers will have experience in the following:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Data engineer working with modern Azure technologies (such as ADF, data lake, data bricks and SQL) for ETL Process creation and maintenance.
- Demonstrated experience working with SSIS and SSRS, including integrating on-premise data tools with modern Azure platforms.
- Experience working with large and disparate data sets and interpreting data models for ETL design.
- Experience working with Power BI reports using complex Data models is advantageous.
