About the Position
We are seeking an experienced and proactive manufacturing supervisor who is looking for a new challenge within a growing and progressive company. We are seeking a Production Supervisorfor our Murwillumbah Site who will be responsible for a headcount of 15 team members.
You will be responsible for maintaining production, meeting production targets, managing and supervising team members and the machine shop. This is a Permanent Full-Time position which will be accountable for the co-ordination and performance across the site to enable the meeting of targets in terms of production, efficiency, and quality in a safe and environmentally sound manner.
Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Ensuring production minimum standards meet internal and external requirements.
- Actively managing resources to deliver performance, whilst managing leave, absences, variable labour and contractor costs.
- Participate in toolbox meetings and conduct safety conversations about HSE performance.
- Managing performance and development of personnel and effective co-ordination between sites.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Previous experience in a supervisory position with a manufacturing background.
- Extensive experience in timber manufacturing or related industry is highly desirable.
- A proven track record of successfully supervising a team.
- A certificate in Forest and Wood Products – Wood Machining is advantageous
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- The ability to build strong working relationships and promote effective communication within a team.
