We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Music Teacher to join our team 3 days per week (0.6 part-time load) to teach Year 7 to 10 Music. Commencing in term 3, 2024. Generous remuneration above the published 2024 MEA rates.
About You:
- Hold a teaching qualification recognised in Australia
- Be registered, or have the ability to be registered with NESA
- Possess current references
Key responsibilities
- Innovative in teaching Music from year 7 to year 10
- Maintain a positive and effective learning environment through well prepared and varied lessons, which cater to the range of student abilities and interests.
- Facilitate and engage in delivering a robust co-curricular music program
- Demonstrate strong leadership
- Set realistic and challenging academic standards of student performance
- Have a strong working knowledge in areas of pedagogy, curriculum, assessment and the use of ICT’s
- Provide prompt and comprehensive attention to student work submitted for marking and supervision
- Demonstrate knowledge, competence and confidence in the relevant subject discipline
- Have an understanding of and commitment to the ethos of the College
