There has never been a better time to join Guild Insurance, purpose led and future focussed, we are on a journey of modernisation and capability uplift. We have an aspiration to grow and refine our intermediate business offering and you will be pivotal in making this happen. You'll join a business that is small enough to get stuff done, to be known and to work closely with the senior executive to achieve portfolio outcomes. We are unencumbered by global matrices, and endless bureaucracy and offer a place where you own your work and your relationships from the very first day.
Reporting to Head of Property, Packages and Short-Tail and with hybrid working arrangements at our brand-new Melbourne or Sydney offices, we have created a new role of National Property Portfolio Manager (Intermediated) to drive profitable growth and achieve strategic targets through intermediated channels. This role is pivotal in developing and executing Product & Underwriting strategies for our Property and Short-Tail classes.
Core aspects of the role:
- Collaborate with the Head of Property to establish and adapt portfolio strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Guild Insurance is a relationships business, you'll maintain robust relationships with intermediated partners through effective communication.
- Cultivate close working ties with Direct Portfolio Managers, claims, and distribution teams to ensure congruence on portfolio strategy.
- Analyse, monitor, and report on Property key performance indicators across Intermediated channels, refining portfolio monitoring processes and addressing areas of concern.
- Develop pricing strategies in coordination with the Head of Analytics to sustain competitiveness and profitability.
- Ensure compliance with GIL Underwriting Policy, overseeing the development and review of Underwriting manuals and guidelines.
Naturally, we are seeking someone who's already managing a commercial Property Portfolio or has a role that has multiple lines under your guidance. You'll need to have experience in intermediated distribution and can demonstrate strong relationships with this sector. Your strong analytical and pricing capability and proven data-driven decision-making skills are also critical for your success in this role.
