WARP Traffic Management is currently recruiting for a National Finance Manager on a contract basis.
This opportunity is available at our offices either in Perth (Maddington) or Brisbane (Springwood).
WARP continues to be an established and stable business within the traffic management industry and has been since 1997. The group also operates businesses in the manufacturing and RTO space.
The National Finance Manager is primarily responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of the finance and shared services function. This involves financial reporting, cashflow, stakeholder engagement, team management and strategic planning across all the businesses within the WARP group of companies. The role will work closely with the Managing Director on the strategic direction and growth of the businesses and provide support and guidance to business leaders in achieving their targets. You will be responsible for managing a team of 5-6 staff located across various geographical locations. The function also involves overseeing IT, Procurement and Subcontract arrangements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the finance team to achieve consistency and best practice across the business.
- Provide strategic input to the executive leadership team on all aspects of financial management and decision making.
- Develop and implement accounting and finance processes, procedures, practices and plans, taking into account the operating environment.
- Build and manage financial models for utilization, pricing, inventory tracking and valuation.
- Oversee monthly management reporting, consolidation, budgeting, forecasting and annual accounts.
- Prepare and manage the weekly group cashflow as well as strategies around financing for growth.
- Manage the Group’s policy on investments, credit, taxation and cash flow.
- Manage group banking and oversee the administration of the ERP systems
- Engage with key stakeholders across all group businesses and provide support to achieve successful business outcomes.
- Financial analysis of acquisition opportunities, assisting with financial and contractual negotiations, undertaking financial due diligence and coordinating the finance aspects of integrating newly acquired businesses.
- Manage sub-contractor engagement and relationships as well as property leases
- Liaise with external stakeholders, namely banks, accountants, insurance brokers, IT provider and other key suppliers, etc.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce
- Professional qualification in Accounting (CA or CPA)
- Minimum 5 year experience in accounting roles
- At least 3 years experience in a similar Senior Accountant / Manager roles is desired.
- Experience in construction or manufacturing industries is desired.
- Analytical Skills and Problem Solving abilities: Ability to analyze data sets, reports, and financial information to identify discrepancies and areas for improvement in processes.
- Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Effective communication is essential for discussing concerns with staff, providing training on processes, documenting findings, and presenting recommendations to management.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing client requirements, new business processes, and evolving industry standards, while maintaining high standards of quality assurance in financial operations.
