The Finance Systems and Data team are looking for an engaged Project Manager to improve our capability to complete successful projects that deliver measurable benefits to the University.
The Project Manager will manage all aspects of the end-to-end delivery of the Finance IT System and process improvement projects. The Project Manager will be responsible for delivering a wide range of project-related activities across all phases of the project life cycle, from initial scoping and planning through to post-project evaluation activities. This will include responsibility for related process, policy, and systems analysis.
Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Project Planning: Conduct detailed project planning, including specialist advice, research, analysis, stakeholder engagement, and preparation of documentation (business cases, scope definitions, benefits analysis) to ensure effective and efficient project delivery and informed decision-making.
- Project Delivery: Provide project and administrative support, including monitoring, reporting, managing issues, risks, dependencies, scope changes, and ensuring successful delivery of project outcomes through analysis and documentation.
- Stakeholder engagement and communication: Conduct stakeholder analysis and communications, support key managers in engaging stakeholders, build collaborative relationships, and seek collaboration opportunities to ensure effective project delivery across the University.
- Project Governance and Reporting: Coordinate and provide regular updates to the FBS leadership and Project Steering Committees.
This is a full-time (100%), continuing (permanent) position.
At HEW level 8 the full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $108,975 - $122,176, plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be up to $127,500 - $142,946 annually. As these roles are covered by an Enterprise Agreement, you will also receive regular remuneration increases in line with the Enterprise Agreement.
About YouWe are looking for a collaborative and engaged Project Manager with postgraduate qualifications (or be in progress towards postgraduate qualifications) in Business, Project Management, Business Analysis or a related field or an equivalent combination of qualifications and workplace experience. In addition, you will have:
- Demonstrated experience successfully leading and supporting medium to large IT and process improvement projects, ideally within a large and/or complex organisational context.
- High-level interpersonal skills, including the effective liaison and negotiation skills needed to develop and maintain strong working relationships within FBS and the wider University community.
- Excellent problem-solving, time management and coordination skills and an ability to be adaptive and innovative in developing and pursuing solutions to support successful project delivery in a deadline driven environment.
- Demonstrated high level organisational ability, attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines and manage competing priorities.
- Demonstrated experience in facilitating and documenting process mapping and design, requirements documentation and system implementation would be highly valued.
- Previous project management or business analyst experience within a tertiary and/or research institution would be highly valued.
