• Proactively manage lease renewals, including reviewing renewal and market rent review clauses in leases and tracking expiring leases and engaging landlords early where required.
• Exercise options in a timely manner, including discussion paper preparation with recommendations.
• Manage lease negotiations, especially at option to improve commercial terms and to research effective market rent conditions for any market rent reviews.
• Engage with existing and new landlords and/or developers to identify new store locations.
• Negotiate commercial terms on new deals within defined parameters, such as rent, landlord works, capital, term.
• Prepare and present business cases for new locations, relocations, redevelopments to senior management of each brand.
• Work closely with the internal property lawyer in relation to all property leasing matters.
• Manage and run leasing negotiations with the internal property lawyer.
• Ensure the group complies with lease obligations on all sites.
• As primary landlord contact, manage escalated concerns as required, ensuring prompt and effective resolution of issues.
• Instigate and manage new leases from exercise of options to final execution.
• Work collaboratively with Store Development (especially Facilities) regarding capital and maintenance issues.

Preferred Experience/Qualifications:5 or more years' experience in a similar role.Relevant tertiary qualifications preferably in a property related field.Working knowledge of property and contract law and experience dealing with property lawyers, including giving instructions on leasing matters.To Apply-JB Hi-Fi Group is an equal opportunity employer committed to providing a work environment that promotes diversity and inclusion.
