About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Health Safety Environment, the National Safety Business Partner provides advice, training, consultation, monitoring and governance, to support stakeholders and ensure all relevant HSE legislation, global HSE policies and procedures are implemented and effective. You will support team members at all levels of the organisation by providing them with specialist HSE advice.
Additionally, you will be responsible for guiding a range of HSE processes including hazard and incident management, HSE auditing and process review, legislative compliance, HSE training, HSE reporting and health and wellbeing programs. The key purpose of this role is to support the operations team by leading and monitoring HSE programs of work within multi-disciplinary sites. You will work across multiple projects in conjunction with the Head of Health Safety Environment and executive leaders in further developing and implementing the safety framework and supporting activities nationally.
About You
- Tertiary qualifications in WHS or a related field
- Experience in an operational HSE Advisor role with a state-based/multi-state-based focus. Experience within the construction industry will be viewed favourably.
- Ability to influence and drive change through relevant initiatives and programs
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Sound knowledge and understanding of workplace health and safety legislation across multiple states.
- Well-organised and self-motivated with the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable travelling interstate regularly as part of role
