The Organisation:
Kids Out West has been in operation since 2014 and is a small but growing organisation. They are dedicated to supporting children and young people in the Out of Home Care sector, providing a range of services to children in the Hunter and beyond.
The Position:
As HR Business Partner reporting directly in the Managing Director your role will incorporate a diverse range of HR practices and Business Partnering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partnering with senior leadership to develop and implement effective HR policies and practices that will support the strategic growth of a business.
- Improving team performance through training and development programs
- Provide timely information and/or education for all levels of KOW on HR issues.
- Educate, coach, and partner with managers on performance management and employee development goals.
- Collaborate with leadership team to accelerate a culture of excellence in which people feel engaged and inspired to deliver top results.
- Lead workplace investigations and reportable conduct investigations
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory and employment standards
- Support recruitment process and oversee probation, supervision and performance management.
- Extensive experience in providing a broad range of human resource functions, including organisational development, change management, and employee relations
- Knowledge of HR programs and practices, including applicable state and federal employment laws and regulations in the OOHC sector
- Business partnering and/or leadership experience
- Demonstrated use of business strategies to develop successful, innovative solutions
- Experience with the SCHADS award
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources Management (minimum diploma, degree an advantage)
- Experience in writing, reviewing and implementing policies and procedures
