Job description

The Brightside Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation devoted to assisting individuals with autism access the resources and support they need to lead fulfilling and meaningful lives.

As part of our rapidly growing organisation, you will contribute to a mission that empowers individuals with disabilities by managing their NDIS Plan funding with precision and care.

Your new role

  • Invoices and claims processing and submission to the NDIS.
  • Quotes preparation, service and accommodation agreements creation.
  • Plans monitoring to track upcoming expiry.
  • Internal stakeholder communications to ensure service continuation for participants.
  • Debt recovery by following up on aged receivables and invoices.

Essential:

  • Experience in Accounts Receivable and debt collection.
  • Previous experience (minimum 1 year) working within the disability sector, including an understanding of the NDIS framework and its software applications.
  • Good communicator with a sense of empathy.
  • Ability to pick up systems and processes with attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

  • Processing and managing NDIS claims, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with regulations
  • Be willing to learn about and eventually complete claims processes in adherence to financial protocols
  • Assist in the continuous improvement of claims processes and systems
  • Responding to inquiries and concerns from claimants, internal and external stakeholders, and regulatory bodies
  • Staying updated on changes in regulations and policies impacting claims management
  • Provide secretarial and/or administrative support to executive managers, demonstrating a high degree of judgment, and initiative, and maintaining strict confidentiality and sensitivity in all work-related tasks
