The Opportunity
Orion Care is currently seeking an experienced NDIS Participant Intake Officer to help with the smooth transitioning of people living with disabilities into our service.
As our new Intake Officer, you will be responsible for arranging all service and tenancy agreements for participants, updating and managing Roster of Care for all current and new participants.
This role is an integral part of the organization as you will be working with participants, caregivers and other stakeholders providing a responsive and proactive intake experience.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities
- Create Service and Tenancy Agreements for new participants and update for current participants
- Collaborate with Business Development Manager to match new participants
- Discuss the change of circumstances for roster of care with our team and stakeholders to send the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
- Support team for collecting and presenting documented evidence for change of circumstance
- Work collaboratively with other team members, Support Coordinators and relevant Government bodies to build and manage Rosters of Care
Skills and attributes required:
- Understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme(NDIS), including NDIS Plans and SIL Funding
- Experience in Support Coordination or related NDIS fields
- Highly developed customer service skills
- Demonstrate initiative, follow processes, take direction, and work without close supervision.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills and an ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Extensive experience in the Microsoft Suite and client database
- Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate with a diverse range of people
- Ability to Interpret Positive Behaviour Support Plans and understand Restrictive Practices
- Experience in building a Roster of Care (ROC) for participants
- NDIS Workers Clearance Check
- NDIS Working with Children Clearance Check
- Drivers License / Road Worthy vehicle
- Working Rights / Passport / Visa /Birth Certificate
