The Role: The NDIS Service Manager will lead a professional team on a career journey enhancing MADEC’s Supported Independent Living and Respite service provisions, focused on the delivery of core supports to NDIS participants. Through adaptive change and continuous growth planning, this role will focus on providing Person-Centered Active Support models of care and Therapeutic Crisis Intervention to people with complex needs and behaviours of concern. Using your significant knowledge of the NDIS, person centered care and frontline practice leadership, you will work collaboratively with internal and external key stakeholders, offering adaptive operational planning for NDIS initiatives for target cohorts, and delivering quality services and programs.
Reporting to the CEO and in partnership with the People & Culture Manager and with 4 direct reports you will:
- Implement and deliver a plan for NDIS supports and individual services.
- Provide continuous improvement methodology on governance and leadership strategies.
- Be responsible for assessing and matching service referrals, part of the service intake assessment team, alongside the CEO and Strategic Quality Manager.
- Ensure that MADECs risk management framework is applied within disability services.
- Assist with workforce planning to ensure MADEC maintains appropriate levels of trained workers.
- Engage with participants, frontline workers, external agencies and other employees to ensure that a person-centred active support (PCAS) model is being utilized within services.
- Will network and engage with stakeholders to promote MADEC services.
- Establish clear service delivery expectations for reporting and adherence to business policy and procedures.
- Collaborate with relevant managers and coordinators on the operational efficiency and continuous improvement of existing & future SIL services.
- Recognised qualification in disability or related field.
- Significant experience and knowledge of NDIS and complex support needs.
- Experience with behaviours of concern and multiple service systems.
- Significant experience in a leadership position within a community services organisation.
- Experience in working collaboratively with key stakeholders.
- Demonstrated administrative and technological skills.
- Understanding of Human Rights and a Person-Centered Active Support model of care.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously or within a team.
