Job Pathways (“JP”) is a leading Aboriginal controlled ‘for purpose’ community development organisation. Our programs aspire to improve lives and transform communities through the delivery of the Commonwealth Government Community Development Program, Disability Services, and a Recycling social enterprise. 

The primary purpose of the NDIS Support Mentor is to contribute to our Vision by providing direct support to participants within the Job Pathways’ NDIS Services, which are underpinned by a culture of respect and collaboration.

This will be achieved by:

• Communicating with and supporting people with a disability, their families and carers
• Running activities that engage participants by encouraging skill development, empowering participants to be independent
• Building positive and professional relationships internally and externally, collaborating with other business units within the organisation
• Actively contributing to the implementation and ongoing improvement of internal structures and systems used to complement service delivery
• Ensuring all service delivery is conducted in accordance with EKJPs quality management systems, the National Standards for Disability Services, and the suite of internal policies and procedures designed to safeguard client dignity, safety and respect

Duties Include  

• 1:1 Support to carry out daily tasks
• Mentoring to reach goals 
• Development of critical life skills 
• House Keeping 
• Short Term Accommodation

Requirements

• NDIS Workers Screening (or willing to obtain)
• Working With Children Check (or willing to obtain)
• Current First Aid (or willing to obtain)
• National Police Certificate
• C Class Driver’s License
• COVID-19 Proof of Vaccination Certificate
