A great opportunity for an experienced Network Architect to join this busy team for a long term 12-month temporary assignment.About the role:
- Manage the Agency’s network design and architecture
- Lead the design, build, deployment and support of the Agency’s network solutions
- Develop and manage VLANs, IP addressing, Firewalls, wireless, and routing for more than 150 sites and cloud environments
- Develop and manage security protocols across physical and wireless networks
- Resolve end user and application issues related to network infrastructure
- Lead network infrastructure change management activities
- Play a key role in the design and implementation of a network operating model
- Serve as a technology Subject Matter Expert (SME)
- Investigate complex technical problems assigned to the team and work independently and with others to assist in addressing issues.
- Communicate, build and maintain effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including senior executives.
- Present complex technical information to both technical and non-technical senior executives
- Foster a positive culture within the ICT Services Branch, aligned with Agency values.
- You will have minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Network Architect across design, development, architecture and management of large a distributed network platform.
- Experience as a Network Architect or Cloud Architect.
- You will have experience working with various network vendors/providers, with project design and deployment experience.
- You will have proven experience producing a range of documentation from simple work instructions to complex network designs and architecture documents.
- You will have a Bachelor degree or demonstrated professional experience in technology or a related field
- You will have high level conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills, and the ability to develop creative and innovative solutions to difficult and complex problems
- You will have experience with WIFI prediction and device placement desirable
- ASAP start (pending Federal Police Clearance)
- 12-month temporary assignment with the possibility of extension
- Full time hours Monday to Friday
- Geelong, Melbourne, and Sydney locations + hybrid working from home options.
- $ 675.00 per day + Super
