The Job
You will be responsible for :
- Building and maintaining the day-to-day operation of computer networks as per the business requirement.
- Monitoring Network Engineering performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
- Configuring and installing various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS)
- Performing network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations.
- Ensure compliance with relevant internal and external standards and guidelines including legislation, statutes, regulations and policies.
- Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure
- Performing disaster recovery operations and data backups when required.
- Protecting data, software, and hardware by coordinating, planning, and implementing network security measures.
- Designing, configuring, and testing networking software, computer hardware, and operating system.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to gain and maintain business knowledge.
The Profile
- You possess a Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
- You have at least 5 years experience, ideally within a Network Engineer / Systems Engineer role.
- You pay strong attention to detail and deliver work that is of a high standard
- You possess strong analytical skills and are comfortable dealing with numerical data
- You are a strong team player who can manage multiple stakeholders
