Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Computer Network and Systems Engineer with expertise in voice engineering to join our dynamic team. As a Voice Engineer at Claratti, you will play a pivotal role in providing support and solutions for our customers' voice communication needs. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and make a significant impact in the field of network engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as the primary voice support escalation point for corporate and small business customers, addressing queries and resolving issues promptly and effectively.
• Lead the migration of onsite PBX systems to hosted PBX solutions, overseeing the successful transfer of over 100 PBXs and 1000+ numbers to different CTS.
• Identify and troubleshoot communication issues such as one-way audio, robotic voice, and voice breaking up, implementing solutions to improve network quality of service (QoS).
• Collaborate with Australian Internet service providers (ISPs) including Telstra, AAPT, Symbio, and Vocus to address faults, porting requests, non-geographic number queries, and DID diversions.
• Provide configuration, provisioning, and troubleshooting support for Fax2email and email2fax services.
• Configure, auto-provision, and troubleshoot various models of IP phones, integrating VoIP and unified communications services for customers.
• Utilize expertise in Cloud PBX systems and other VoIP platforms such as Asterisk and Open SIP to deliver tailored solutions for corporate clients.
• Apply implementation knowledge of Quality of Service (QoS) principles to troubleshoot complex network issues related to call routing and gateways.
Qualifications and Experience:
o Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
o Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, with a focus on voice engineering and network systems.
o Proven expertise in migrating PBX systems to hosted solutions and managing large-scale number transfers.
o Strong understanding of network protocols, VoIP technologies, and unified communications systems.
o Experience working with Australian ISPs and familiarity with telecommunications regulations and standards.
o Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting IP phones and related hardware.
o Certification in relevant areas such as Cisco CCNA Voice, CCNP Voice, or equivalent is highly desirable.
