This role sits within the Department of Neurology. It is part of an ongoing initiative to support clinical and medical staff with administrative tasks and scheduling of the multi-disciplinary Neuromuscular clinic which includes back-office administration work and assisting with patient flowThe Neuromuscular Administration Assistant would be required to work on Wednesdays.You Will Be Responsible For:
- Coordinate the weekly multidisciplinary neuromuscular clinics
- Responsible for booking, follow-up, and scheduling of patient appointments, including cancellations and new bookings at short notice
- Deal with enquires related to clinic appointments and scheduling
- Maintain neuromuscular clinic patient database, with up-to-date data on patients and clinic appointments to ensure accurate scheduling
- Ensure appropriate and prompt response to scheduling enquiries
- Ensure a high quality of customer service is provided to the clinical department and staff
- Build and maintain effective relationships with relevant external stakeholders
- Administrator training and/or previous relevant experience in a similar administrative role is an essential requirement for the role
- Demonstrated ability to participate effectively in a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with Office 365
- Previous experience in a similar role and knowledge in a hospital/healthcare setting is highly regarded
- Experience with electronic medical records such as EPIC is desirable
