Welcome to Punthill South Yarra
Conveniently located at the doorstep of Yarra Train Station and the Toorak Road Trams, our small but busy hotel is the home-away-from-home for many corporate and leisure travellers alike. This Night Manager role is a special one to us. It's not only responsible for the overnight guest service and night audit function for our 50-room hotel, but it also supports the night audit function for 12 of our other apartment hotels across Melbourne.
Responsibilities
As Night Manager at Punthill South Yarra, you'll work independently on shift, while being part of the night team across the Group. You'll develop strong internal relationships with our other Night Managers and Night Auditors, and ensure that our night team is supporting each other through any challenges that may arise. In particular, you'll be responsible for the:
- Smooth and consistent management of the night audit function, including audits, reports and reconciliations
- Management of the front office overnight, including late check-ins, compliant handling, problem-solving, remote guest support, security, and support for our afterhours support centre
- Smooth collaboration of the night team with the wider night and day teams
- Training and escalation support for other night teams
- Delivery of high levels of guest services in all interactions
- Safe and professional management of emergency situations
- Provide support and assistance to the Hotel Manager in higher-level hotel management and admin tasks

About You
This is a key role for our group, so we're looking for someone that is kind, adaptable, reliable and who has a true ownership mindset.
The successful person must have:
- Approved Australian working rights (Australian Citizenship, Permanent Residency or a Visa with approved working rights)
- First Aid Certificate (or be able to obtain before starting)
- Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate (or be able to obtain before starting)
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve and manage escalated complaints with appropriate resolutions
- High standards of attention to detail and communication skills (written & verbal)
- Experience in a similar role
