As the Northern Member Engagement Officer, you will:
- Identify and plan exciting recreational programs for blind and vision-impaired members.
- Coordinate a team of volunteers, ensuring seamless execution of group activities.
- Recruit and schedule volunteers, and oversee volunteer transport arrangements.
- Develop innovative activities to enhance member participation and engagement.
- Utilise excellent communication and organizational skills to connect with stakeholders.
Key Selection Criteria:
- Certificate in Leisure & Health/Community Services
- Experience in developing recreational programs in the disability sector/aged care
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and client databases
- Proven ability to work independently and follow plans
- Knowledge of community services, activities, and transport in the northern suburbs
- Enjoyment of helping people achieve their best
- Friendly and flexible approach to problem-solving
- Current driver's license
Beneficial Skills:
While not essential, the following skills are beneficial:
- Current First Aid Certificate.
- Fire Warden Training.
- Current DHS Screening for Aged Care, Vulnerable, Working with Children.
- Comfortable driving a 12-seater van.
