As the Northern Member Engagement Officer, you will:

• Identify and plan exciting recreational programs for blind and vision-impaired members.
• Coordinate a team of volunteers, ensuring seamless execution of group activities.
• Recruit and schedule volunteers, and oversee volunteer transport arrangements.
• Develop innovative activities to enhance member participation and engagement.
• Utilise excellent communication and organizational skills to connect with stakeholders.

Key Selection Criteria:

• Certificate in Leisure & Health/Community Services
• Experience in developing recreational programs in the disability sector/aged care
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and client databases
• Proven ability to work independently and follow plans
• Knowledge of community services, activities, and transport in the northern suburbs
• Enjoyment of helping people achieve their best
• Friendly and flexible approach to problem-solving
• Current driver's license

Beneficial Skills:

While not essential, the following skills are beneficial:

• Current First Aid Certificate.
• Fire Warden Training.
• Current DHS Screening for Aged Care, Vulnerable, Working with Children.
• Comfortable driving a 12-seater van.
