We are searching for a compassionate and understanding receptionist to join our growing team on a full time basis.
We have two busy skin cancer clinics conveniently located in Mornington and Rosebud. The successful applicant must be available to work in our Mornington clinic.
We have been on the Mornington Peninsula for 14+ years, and we pride ourselves on being the leaders in early detection, diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer and melanoma. We offer skin checks, molemapping, removal of skin cancers and all aftercare – among other treatments. We are committed to providing the most comprehensive and caring services for our patients!
Our clinic hours are between 7:30am-6:00pm Monday-Friday, and occasional Saturdays 8:30am-3pm(optional). The successful applicant must be available to work between these times.
Experience is desirable, however highly motivated individuals with a passion for health and eagerness to learn will be considered. We’re a teaching clinic, so this is an ideal role for anyone interested in advancing their customer service skills with ongoing training and education opportunities.
We are a busy group of skin cancer clinics, so we’re seeking someone who’s a self-starter, and who can work independently and as a member of our awesome team!
Responsibilities in this role include:
- Inbound and outbound phone calls to patients, hospitals, specialist centres and other third parties.
- Making appointments for patients, and effective management of appointment books.
- Responding and handling patient queries via email, phone and in person.
- General administration duties such as faxing, scanning and reporting.
- Assisting doctors and nurses where needed.
- Taking payment via EFTPOS, cash & cheque.
- Billing, banking and reconciling.

Favorable but not essential (for the right candidate):
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting.
- Previous experience with Medicare and DVA billings.
- Previous experience using Best Practice Software.
