Position: Construction Manager
Job Description:
As a Construction Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the successful delivery of construction projects from inception to completion. Working closely with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, you will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
You will be managing an existing team of 4 supervisors servicing Sydney Metro area out to Newcastle with occasional requirements in ACT. The team is currently performing well. This role is due to company growth and is a new role within the business.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of construction projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project requirements are met.
- Oversee project progress, conduct regular site visits, and address any issues or delays promptly.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and risk management plans.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and quality standards.
- Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Proven experience as a Construction Manager, with a strong track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Excellent knowledge of construction processes, methods, and materials.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, problem-solve, and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Familiarity with construction software and tools, such as Prime is preferred but not essential. Computer literacy with strong written & oral communication skills is a must.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
