Green Light are seeking a highly skilled NSX Consultant to join our team. As an NSX Consultant, you will work closely with clients to assess, plan, implement, optimize, and troubleshoot VMware NSX deployments. You will play a key role in designing and delivering customised NSX solutions that meet the unique needs and objectives of our client.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate existing network infrastructure and design NSX solutions tailored to the organization's requirements.
- Deploy NSX components such as NSX Manager, NSX Controllers, NSX Edge, and NSX Distributed Firewall according to design specifications.
- Integrate NSX with existing network and security technologies, ensuring seamless interoperability.
- Configure NSX features such as logical switches, distributed routing, load balancing, VPNs, and micro-segmentation to meet specific requirements.
- Implement automation workflows using VMware vRealize Automation or other tools to streamline deployment processes.
- Design and enforce security policies using NSX Distributed Firewall to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
- Tune configuration settings and troubleshoot network issues to optimize NSX performance.
- Create comprehensive documentation of NSX configurations and provide training to internal teams.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for NSX-related issues.
Requirements
- Proficiency in NSX architecture, components, and deployment models (NSX-T and NSX-V)
- Ability to design and implement micro-segmentation strategies using NSX Distributed Firewall to enhance network security.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Ansible for automating NSX deployment and management tasks.
- Proficiency in VMware vSphere virtualization technologies.
- Familiarity with scripting languages for automation and orchestration tasks.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve network-related issues.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
- Relevant certifications such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP) in Network Virtualization (NSX).
