This relates to two positions, each with a 0.4 Full-Time Equivalent (FTE). One position is located in Whyalla, supporting Flinders and Upper North Local Health Network and the other position is located in Port Pirie, providing support to Yorke and Northern Local Health Network.
The Nurse Consultant - Clinical Research Coordinator forms part of a team with the primary purpose to increase rural health research capacity and provide access to clinical trials 'closer to home' for patients, regardless of where they live and in particular in regional, rural and remote areas. The team consists of health service staff and University of South Australia academics.
The Nurse Consultant - Clinical Research Coordinator contributes operational and discipline expertise to the development, coordination and implementation of research and administrative strategies that are essential to the successful management of clinical trials conducted within the Australian Teletrial Program. This involves the conduct of a range of independent functions, including, but not limited to: scholarly activity, coordinating consents and assessments required by clinical trial patients, managing the oversight, documentation and compilation of Clinical Research data, and providing operational support for the delivery of clinical trial and other research submissions, reporting and other approval requests that are required.
These roles are employed through RMCLHN but are based in Whyalla or Port Pirie. The Australian Teletrial Program - South Australia team are based within the Department for Health and Wellbeing
Must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.

This is a part time vacancy, working 60 hours per fortnight and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.
