Access theEligible Health Workers who move to Queensland from interstate and international jurisdictions to take up permanent employment may receive up to $20,000 in incentive payments under theThe roleThe Nurse Educator – Medical Imaging will provide clinical expertise, support and education to nursing staff within Medical Imaging Department (MID) to ensure the provision of best practice and quality patient care, and also provide support to areas within the Townsville Hospital and Health Service with relevant and specific Medical Imaging enquiries and education needs. This position works collaboratively with the MID Nurse Unit Manager and Clinical Nurse Consultant to drive efficiency and quality initiatives across the Unit.The MID provides service and access to all imaging modalities. High quality patient outcomes remain the primary focus of services, supported by close and responsive links to clinical areas. Key staff members are actively involved in Hospital and Health Service (HHS) and regional service planning. The MID provides critical clinical support to Townsville University Hospital tertiary level services and surrounding health facilities of the Townsville Health and Hospital Service.The MID provides key diagnostic and interventional services to support front line critical care and clinical units. MID staff assist and consult with neighbouring health facilities to improve levels of service and clinical outcomes.Generous remuneration package value up to $164,696 p.a.comprising:
- Salary rates between $5081.10 - $5516.60 p.f (NG7)
- 17.5% annual leave loading + leave
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- Professinal Development allowance + leave

- Qualification: Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position is mandatory.
- Highly Desirable: Possession of a relevant postgraduate qualification in an appropriate field is highly desirable. Such experience may be discipline specific or have a service area focus.
