The Nepean Campus has recently experienced tremendous growth and aims to support communities within and outside of Sydney’s western suburbs, providing world-class clinical facilities, services, and care.An opportunity has become available to join the Team in Nepean Intensive Care Unit in the role of Nurse Educator Grade 1.The Nurse Educator role is a senior nurse at an Area or facility level. The successful incumbent will be responsible for leading change in a complex clinical environment through education and professional development. The role aims in Improving patient outcomes through dynamic and responsive education and professional development.As the Nurse Educator, you will introduce strategies that will enhance inter-professional collaboration and teamwork through partnerships in education.   • Demonstrated senior experience in the nursing/midwifery practice/management.
  • Current Certificate as a Workplace Trainer and Assessor (currently Certificate IV) or willingness to work towards certification. Demonstrated experience in development, delivery and evaluation of education and training programs.
  • Demonstrated use of computer skills in the development of educational resources.
  • Demonstrated project management experience.
  • Evidence of participation in own professional development and commitment to maintaining competence and enhancement of skills and knowledge.
  • Demonstrated ability and flexibility to work between affiliated organisations and relevant leadership groups.
  • Highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills that demonstrates a capacity to foster harmonious and effective team relationships including problem solving and conflict resolution.
