We are seeking an experienced and innovative Registered Nurse/Nurse Educator to join and lead our team as a clinical leader within SESLHD Mental Health Service - Working in Mental Health has never been more important or meaningful!This role will provide high level education development, evaluation and support to Clinical Nurse Educators and clinical staff across the District and will be responsible for providing clinical education and mentorship to our existing and expanding nursing and multi-disciplinary workforce across the service, ensuring education programs are developed and delivered that promote best practice with a focus on strengths and recovery. In line with the NSW Public Health System Nurses' and Midwives' (State) Award.Nurse Educator Grade 3 is the grade used for Registered Nurses holding post registration nursing clinical or education qualifications relevant to the clinical area in which he/she is appointed, or qualifications deemed equivalent by the employer; and who is appointed to a position of Nurse Educator Grade 3.The Nurse Educator Grade 3, Workplace Capabilities shall be responsible for a comprehensive education program across SESLHD Mental Health Service.Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified for this position following suitable labour market testing.All workers and new recruits are required to receive 2 doses of a Therapeutic Goods Administration approved or recognised COVID-19 vaccine to commence employment/ engagement or continue to work within a NSW Health service.A worker and new recruit will be considered compliant if they have a medical contraindication to all available Therapeutic Goods Administration approved or recognised COVID-19 vaccines and provide medical contraindication evidence in line with the policy requirements.In addition, all Category A workers and new recruits are required to receive one dose of the seasonal influenza vaccine annually to be considered compliant.Category A workers and new recruits who are non-compliant with seasonal influenza vaccination or have a medical contraindication to influenza or COVID-19 vaccinations must comply with all other infection control risk reduction strategies as directed while working in a Category A position.SESLHD is committed to creating a workplace that reflects the diversity of our community. - Recent experience in the development of practice.
- Holding post registration clinical or education qualification relevant to the position.
- Demonstrated effective leadership skills including highly developed skills in communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, coordinate, deliver and evaluate education and training programs.
- Demonstrated understanding of contemporary adult learning principles.
- Computer literacy and understanding of relevant information systems.
